Bairro Alto is the most popular area in Lisbon for drinking and night live. It is full of small bares of all kinds. But this is at night … we are going to explore it at day time.
Bairro Alto is (Upper district) one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Lisbon and it was created 500 years ago when the city was no longer able to fit the inside the city walls. We are going there to explore its history and its tradition.
We are going to explore Bairro Alto, in a day light, and walk through several points which are full of history.
The tour will be in English and the charge is 10€ per person.
This trip will take us about 2 hours and we will end the view point of Santa Catarina – a perfect spot to have some drinks.
We are meeting at D. Pedro IV square, in front of Theatre D. Maria II [metro station Rossio (green line) or metro station Restauradores (blue line)].
I will be in front of the theatre facing the square, wearing a red cap.
